Chris Fisher - Pro Skier
As I drive through Pueblo, Colorado, through the blizzard-like conditions, I had an idea. Immediately I text Chris, “You skiing this weekend? Saw y’all are getting stupid amounts of snow. I wanna come out and do a shoot for you.” He replies “Absolutely, conditions are great. Text me when you get to Breck and we’ll plan something.”
After arriving in Breck, I secured the proper gear to help me brave the snow with Chris (thanks to my roommate Daniel). And we made a plan. The plan? Chris (pro skier) will take us up to his lines, as I snowshoe and Daniel gets hooked up with some Icelantic skis and some skins, we make our way up to the top of Peak 10, and then they ski down as I move down in front of them to get some shots.
As we made our way up, as we got pounded with snow pouring down on us, we passed one other group of 3 braving the conditions to get the year’s last runs. Daniel and I got quite the headstart so we made our way up first, we got to the top and paused for me to get out all my gear and get ready. As I got my gear ready, I got into position, yelled out for Chris to send the first line, and this is what we got:
